Jamie Emerson, FNP-C

Jamie Emerson, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pain Management and Family Practice. With three offices in Piedmont, Myrtle Beach, and Spartanburg, South Carolina, patients can choose the United Physician Group locations nearest them. 

After her high school graduation, Jamie worked as an emergency room technician. With this early exposure to the medical field, she realized her passion for patient care. In March of 2003, Jamie started working as a registered nurse in a level II emergency/trauma center and remained in that position for the next 14 years.

She achieved her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue University and received her Nurse Practitioner license in 2016. In 2021, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program for family practice also at Purdue University.

Life experience has provided Jamie with a unique approach to Pain Management. Through her ability to connect with patients and relate to them, Jamie puts her essential skills to good use,  building and managing healthy provider-patient relationships.

Jamie joined United Physician Group in September 2019 and is based at the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina office. She currently volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, Project Hope, and Help 4 Kids.

Outside of caring for patients, Jamie enjoys traveling with her three children and engaging in their numerous organized sports. She describes herself as a “sports mom.”
