Bassam Haddad, M.D.

Bassam Haddad, MD, specializes in Family Medicine and Pain Management at United Physician Group. With three offices Piedmont, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, and Spartanburg, South Carolina, patients can choose the United Physician Group locations nearest them.

Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Haddad graduated from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), with Honors B.S. in Biology, and was on the Dean’s List in 2004. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with honors in 2008. He was Chief Resident of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, South Carolina.

After he finished his residency, he worked in multiple emergency rooms, including a level 1 trauma center and ERs in rural communities. Fascinated by biology and physiology throughout his childhood, he studied family medicine to take care of the entire family as a whole and guide them through their healthcare journey.

Family medicine also offered Dr. Haddad the opportunity to learn and treat all aspects of medical illnesses. He has always had an interest in sports medicine, which allowed him to apply that method toward pain management, giving him the opportunity to help alleviate patients from the burden of pain and allow them to be functional.

His favorite part as a doctor: Helping positively impact patients’ lives while continuing his care with patients. Dr. Haddad is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Outside United Physician Group, you can find Dr. Haddad catching up on the latest news on mixed martial arts, motorsports, and soccer. He spends his free time with his wife and two children. They are expecting a third in October.
